Upcycle
Upcycle: A term coined by American architect William McDonough and German chemist Michael Braungart. The process of converting an industrial nutrient (material) into something of greater value in its second life. I define recycling and upcycling in this way - To recycle a thing is to reprocess it by melting ,grinding or some other industrial process that reconstitutes it into a relatively pure material on a large scale and then us this material to make new things.........To upcycle a thing is to take it or a component of it in it's original form and us it in a new and hopefully better more thoughtful way by cutting, reshaping or re-purposing it. All across the globe, artisans are tapping into the planet’s ever growing waste streams and refashioning these castaways into fine objects of singular beauty and design.
